Installed a solar system last May 25 for a guard post in Southplains Subdivision at Salitran, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Site visit a week before the installation…
This is for a 220V system, solar panel was covered with polycarbonate for protection in case kids will throw stones at it.
Covering the solar panel with the polycarbonate…
Installing the solar panel on the roof…
Wiring.. light, socket, etc…
Battery, charge controller and inverter was put inside the cabinet so it will not get wet when it rains and also safety measures from thieves.
Solar panel on the roof..
Everything was installed perfectly. We came back in the evening to check on it and also gave instructions to the guard on duty.
Package for this solar powered guard post:
20 watts solar panel (topped with polycarbonate)
10A solar chargecontroller
150 watts power inverter
7 watts LED bulb 220V
A free lecture seminar on solar energy was held last April 11 at Alcoy, Cebu.
Not many grabbed the chance to attend the free seminar here. But all in all we still consider this a success as we were able to share the knowledge of how people can get free electricity from the sun.
Lecture and demo…
Explanation of each component of the solar system.
Installation of the solar system was also taught to the attendees..
A big thanks to the Dayonot family for their hospitality.
This is from one of our students who took up our training held here in Cavite. Sir Edwin Malapajo from Roxas City came here for a one-on-one training last June 30, 2013.
Sir Edwin with his 2 300watts solar panels.
Solar panels installed on his roofs.
His solar power system set-up. All complete with meters. His set-up is off-grid and on-grid system.
Sir Edwin, thank you for sharing this, more power po!
Photo above was taken during our training.
We had another installation last Feb 27, at Don Tagapo Sta. Rosa Laguna for a 100 watts lighting cooling package.
Client have a sari-sari store that have no electric connection to Meralco.
This one was very easy as the client had chosen the complete solar panel system board instead of the per item package. So what we did was just put the 100 watts solar panel on her roof and screw the panel board on her post.
Her complete solar panel system components:
* Manual transfer switch, in case she wants to have Meralco connection
* 10 A PWM solar charge controller
* Voltmeter for solar panel
* Voltmeter for battery
* Double wall switch for her lights
* 500 watts power invertet
* Socket, if she wants to use 220V appliances that can be accomodated by her 100 watts solar panel
Panel board screwed to her post.… Continue reading
Yesterday, Feb 12, early morning we went to Amadeo Cavite to deliver a 10 watts lighting mobile charging package and also helped/teach Sir Dodong on how to install and use it. It was a farm lot with a small kubo.
On the way to the farmlot, we had to go through this road.. phew 😀
The kubo where to install the lighting package…
Installing the 10 watts solar panel on the roof…
Installing the solar charge controller on the wall…
Everything working as expected (photo below taken with camera flash on).
