One on One Seminar

By special request we conducted a one on one DIY lesson with Michael Andal.

I have only limited pics during the one on one, since Michael has already attended the level 1 seminar last Sept 9 we proceeded with the DIY hands on right away.

DIY solar cells used 36 pcs of 52x19mm solar cells, good for 5 watts solar panel.  This one on one was held at Tsarina Grand Villas.

Sep 9, 2012 – Solar Energy Seminar

Here are the photos of the Solar Energy Seminar scheduled last September 9 at Tsarina Grand Villas.  There were some who made reservation but was not able to attend due to unavoidable circumstances, but the seminar went well and was a success. The venue – Tsarina Grand Villas, Multi-Purpose Hall, Mangahan, Gen. Trias, Cavite. While waiting for the others to arrive, the speaker and the attendees had a little chat, getting to know each other… Lecture Proper – Level 1 The seminar started past 9 am as some of the attendees came from the city most of them commuted just to get to the venue and we have to wait for them before we start. Solar Powered Water Pump for Fish Tank – Outdoor

Solar power has been really helpful for us.

We’ve used it in many ways already. Last year we have an aquaponics set-up using Tilapia and vegetables for the system, a small scale outdoor fish farming. 24 hours a day, the pump should be running for the aquaponics. Well, if you think of the electricity we have consumed the past year and the cost of it, we can say it wasn’t cheap. We had two big tanks (a big drum and another square tank for the aquaponics, both using pumps).

This year, no more paying for electricity use on our fish tank water pumps, we’re getting free electricity with Solar Power.

Here’s a simple demo on how we’ve used a 5 watts solar panel for our water pump.

One common way is using sun in drying clothes ^_^, that’s the power of the sun, others use the sun’s heat and light to change the color of their skin, so called tanning. And if you add a glass or magnifying glass, you can make a fire with the help of the sun.

There are different ways we can get free energy from the Sun and in these times, with high technologies just within our reach,  we can now get free electricity from the Sun. By means of Solar cells (called “photovoltaic”, “PV” or “photoelectric” cells) or widely known as solar panels if they are bigger, this converts light directly in electricity.
